Shayne Power: What I'm Doing Now

Now living in the Swan Valley in Perth/Boorloo (on Whadjuk country) and working for a group of pharmacies in the area. We are living with two cats (one being a kitten) and one young adult.

Esperanto continues to play a key role in my life. Back to being part of the ELWA committee but not much is happening there. Getting to meet up with a few old and new Esperanto contacts as well, and thanks to a push from one of these have re-jigged the ELWA website. Now I just need to write more for it (and/or encourage others to do so). The Universala Kongreso will be in Melbourne next year, so I am making plans for that. Have put Indonesian on the back burner, but am still slowly dabbling with Noongar and Toki Pona.

Still working with Emacs and Zettelkasten via Denote but with the addition of learning how to wrangle Claude Code into my existing workflow. Claude is also helping me with managing my Anki setup for language learning.

Always listening to lots of new music. New obsessions include Ghost and Kneecap. Off to see the perfect Suzanne Vega on the weekend and looking forward to Hoodoo Gurus later in the year. Have made specific plans for my (not very prolific) reading the last couple of years. Last year was all about public domain books, and this year has been mostly about reading books that are sitting unread on my bookshelf (exceptions made for new Dresden Files and Red Dwarf books).
